Beta Tools – Introducing you to one of the UK’s best kept secrets…!!

If you hear the word Beta Tools you probably won’t instantly recognise the brand name, unless of course you are a professional hand tool user or if you are involved in

motorsport in some way. Since 1923 the iron and steel die-cast workshop of Alessandro Ciceri expanded

and developed and in 1939 he registered “Beta” for the production of professional hand tools that became its core business. By the early sixties Beta Utensili (Tools) employed two hundred staff and exported its products around the world, asserting its emerging role among professional hand tool manufacturers. In the early

seventies, Beta Utensili pioneered motorsports sponsorships with a Formula 1 car. The first great success in 1975: Vittorio Brambilla at the wheel of an orange “Beta Utensili March” won the Austrian Grand Prix under a torrential downpour at Zeltweg. Since then, Beta has consistently supported

motorsport alongside teams such as Ferrari, Jordan, McLaren and Minardi in Formula 1, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha in MotoGP, WSB and BSB.

Today Beta Utensili is the

largest independently owned hand tool manufacturer and distributor in Europe, employing over 500 staff in three production facilities; Beta is a global brand chosen by professionals throughout the world. Beta UK has seen spectacular growth in business over the past five years and, as part of this strategic growth plan, Beta continues to expand its presence throughout the UK and Ireland, via a network of new distributors and stockists. The business growth has come primarily from the introduction of new product lines and new product ranges via our product team in Italy plus the introduction of a comprehensive range of high quality wire rope accessories and lifting equipment, which come under Beta’s product brand, ROBUR.
