We’re seven times the national average for suicide,”Brenda continues. “But they have no hope for stopping it, and so without the truth of God’s Word, they are hopeless.”

Distributing an average of 15,000 to 18,000 Bibles a year right from his low- key transmission shop, John marvels at how God’s Word is warming hope- less hearts in often subzero Alaska. “I’ve got a big job to do. Like my pas- tor said, ‘If not me, who? And if not now, when?’ I’m spreading God’s peace and love throughout the world, and he makes it happen and it’s a beautiful thing,” John concludes. “That’s what keeps me going. I just can’t stop.”
