Tower Ramparts, Ipswich to have a 12,500 sq ft River Island store


Beaumont Legal appointed to negotiate Poundworld’s growth plans


Wakefield‐based law firm, Beaumont Legal, has been instructed to negotiate Poundworld’s new store openings for 2013. The single‐priced retailer has ambitious growth plans for at least another 50 store openings across the UK planned for the year ahead. Beaumont Legal will be responsible for negotiating and completing the new store leases.


Tower Ramparts Shopping Centre has signed River Island as a new tenant for 2013. The high‐street fashion retailer will transform the Tavern Street entrance by occupying approximately 12,500 sq ft of retail space across two levels.


River Island have signed a 10 year lease following stiff competition from other key retail interest in the space. River Island will significantly increase its product offering in Ipswich which will include the introduction of its successful childrenswear range. Three existing units are being reconfigured to extend the retail space which is in a prime location at the front of the shopping centre. The announcement marks the start of a new chapter in the revitalisation of Tower Ramparts Shopping Centre, something LaSalle Investment Management is committed to delivering.

John Lewis Exeter trials Pierhouse’s NetTickIT™ software and ZBD’s epaper system to strengthen omni-channel strategy


Pierhouse, the integrated signage management experts, and ZBD, the leading provider of fully graphic epaper display systems for retailers globally, announced that John Lewis, one of the UK's leading department store retailers, has a live trial of its epaper solution within its new flexible format Exeter shop.


Several hundred of ZBD’s fully graphic epaper displays have replaced traditional print ticketing to provide customers with product information, pricing, promotions, reviews as well as QR codes in a digital format, all driven by NetTickIT.


The project has been undertaken to automate the communication of offers and product information in‐store, freeing up selling Partners to provide the high level of service for which John Lewis is famous.


Oswaldtwistle Mills launches UK's first Peacock's concession


Oswaldtwistle Mills has launched the UK's first Peacock's concession after the value high street retailer was taken over by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group. The fashion chain will join more than 100 other retailers in the former textile mill as part of a concession strategy developed by new owners in conjunction with Oswaldtwistle Mills. Edinburgh Woollen Mill first joined Oswaldtwistle Mills in August 2011 and has enjoyed a successful 18‐month trading period at the store.
