PROSOCO’s Consolideck RealCrete PC is a portland cement-based concrete overlay for concrete floors too
deteriorated for grinding and polishing. The ASTM C150 portland
cement component gives the self-leveling, structural-grade overlay many of the same qualities as poured concrete. RealCrete PC can be hardened and densified to create surfaces that can be polished faster and more effectively than untreated floors. It also can be used to patch and repair damaged concrete floors, indoors or out.
SCHOOLS Modine Manu- facturing Co. has redesigned its ClassMate vertical DX cooling-and- heat-pump system for
efficiency, noise reduction
and a smaller footprint. The Class- Mate is offered in four capacities, from 2 to 5 cooling tons, in two cabinet sizes and has a 15 percent EER increase compared with the existing ClassMate HE. Its patented CF microchannel evaporator coil replaces a much larger coil.
DOOR SPANS CORNERS Kolbe has introduced its TerraSpan 90-degree corner door unit. At more than 9-feet tall, the lift-and-slide door panels on the right side of a corner span 12 feet. The panels on the left side stretch more than 21 feet and pocket into the wall. When the door is closed, LoE3-366 glass rejects unwanted solar heat, allows in natural daylight and blocks 95 percent of UV light.
FLASHING SEALS PENETRATIONS IN COLD TEMPERATURES Benjamin Obdyke Inc. has released its HydroFlash Self- Adhered Flashing, which was developed to ef- fectively seal penetration points as temperatures shift. HydroFlash can be installed down to 0 F and applied wet. Made of a block copolymer and featuring a split release
liner, HydroFlash self seals around nails.
It is UV stable for six months and exhibits less than 7 percent degradation during 10 years.
GENERATOR’S FUEL TANK IS WITHIN THE CHASSIS Generac Power Systems has unveiled its 5,500-watt liquid-pro- pane-fueled portable generator that integrates the fuel tank within the chassis. The generator can accommodate a 20- or 30-pound tank, and its PowerDial includes starting and operating controls in a single mechanism. The enclosure protects the generator from dirt and debris and can be removed when performing routine maintenance.
