W&Co is delighted to have been chosen as the signage supplier for home accessory and gift specialist Flutterbyes.


Gift and accessories specialist Flutterbyes has worked hard to develop their business and expand the number of stores they hold in the South East. The company has completed their store at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent, in which W&Co was asked to replace the old flat cut Foamex lettering with a more attractive and inviting illuminated sign over the entrance to the store. It was important that this signage


reflected the retailer’s brand and range of ‘shabby chic’ products. W&Co manufactured an LED illuminated sign tray for the project, with fret cut Flutterbyes logo and various sized butterflies. These were inlaid with opal acrylic and faced with backlit, coloured vinyl to create the desired effect. Following the success of this installation, W&Co was called on again to create similar signage for Flutterbyes brand new store at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex. For the main store sign, halo­illuminated built up letters were fixed back to a cream coloured folded sign tray, which was then applied with subtle vinyl butterfly and swirl decorations to add a little additional touch of design flair. As well as creating the storefront signage, W&Co were also asked to create and install some larger format vinyl graphics for the walls of the store that replicate the vinyl


decoration on the entrance sign. These were used on the interior walls of the store, which helped to create a sense of flow, drawing customer attention throughout the space. Charmain Botton, Owner/Director of


Flutterbyes was impressed with the installation, and feels that the signage has really helped to re­enforce the store’s branding. Having been impressed with how the W&Co team was willing to offer support and advice throughout the installation, Flutterbyes are now looking to roll out the project; “Many of our regular customers have complimented on the additional signage within our Lakeside store, so we are now installing this into our other stores” Flutterbyes are pleased with their


growth so far, and have plans to open new stores in London. W&Co is looking forward to playing its part in helping the businesses continued development.
