CUI has entered into a license agreementwith Ericsson regarding its 32-bit processor-based Frida II 3E digital advanced bus converter (ABC) family, including the newBMR456 quarter brick and BMR457 eighth brick series.
The license agreementwill help OEMs
address interoperability challenges, reduce time tomarket, and decrease supply chain risk for digital products. The ABC family is ideal for information and communication technology (ICT) applications that require a small footprint, fast response time, tightly regulated intermediate bus voltages and high efficiency to reduce power consumption.
President of CUI,MattMcKenzie, said: “We
are excited to add the Frida II products to our NovumAdvanced Power portfolio. It offers our customers an intelligent intermediate bus (IBC) solution to pairwith our existing portfolio of digital point-of-load products.”

STM32 F3MCUs are optimized for efficientmixed signal handling
Mouser Electronics is now stocking STMicroelectronics’ STM32 F3 series of MCUs that combines the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 core with a DSP, FPU instructions and analog peripherals.
Features include: a Cortex-M4 core with
12bit 5MSPS and 16-bit sigma-delta ADCs, programmable gain amplifiers, 50ns comparators and time control units running at 144MHz. The devices are optimized for efficient handling ofmixed signals in circuits such as three-phasemotor controllers, biometrics and industrial sensor outputs or audio filters, allowing designers to tackle mixed-signal control applications. These devices are designed to simplify design, cut power consumption and reduce PCB size in consumer, medical, portable fitness, system monitoring andmetering applications.
