CEILING AND LIGHTING SYSTEM ARE INTEGRATED GE Lighting and USG Corp. have partnered to provide a monolithic, integrated ceiling and lighting system using USG’s Logix Ceiling System and GE’s Lumination LED Linear Recessed Luminaires. The products, which were designed and tested together, concentrate lighting in narrow bands running the length of the ceiling. The luminaires are available in 4- and 5-foot fixtures mea- suring 4- or 6-inches wide to fit Logix layouts.
GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMP HAS INTELLIGENCE FEATURES ClimateMaster has made available its Tranquility High Efficiency Two Stage (TZ) series, which comes in 2- to 5-ton sizes. It fea- tures iGate, intelligent control that uses two-way communica- tion to monitor the performance of the unit, custom tailor its operation and diagnose issues from the thermostat. The TZ also includes vFlow, variable water flow technology that mini- mizes pump energy consumption by 60 to 80 percent and improves system reliability. The TZ has a small footprint, making it ideal for retrofit applications.
ANCHOR ATTACHES SIGNS AND MORE TO ASPHALT Designated Parking Group has made available the BOLTHOLD SP12, an anchor designed for installation of signs, traffic barriers and carports into asphalt. The anchor features a 14-millimeter threaded tube body and top washer that provide up to 2,000 pounds of pull strength. The product, which is constructed from galvanized steel, is flattened and sealed to act as a wedge when driving the anchor into asphalt.
HARDWOOD FLOORING CREATED FROM ENGINEERED WOOD Viridian Reclaimed Wood has introduced a line of engineered re- claimed hardwood flooring in four species. Jakarta Market Blend is made of shipping crates and pallets. European Beech is derived from crates used to ship wind turbines. White Oak is made from domestic industrial shipping crates. CVG Douglas- fir Gym Bleacher is old-growth fir recycled from gym bleachers. The 5/8-inch-thick flooring has a 4-milli- meter wear layer and is made with a VOC-free, nine-ply birch core in 4- to 5-foot lengths.
VERSATEX has added six profiles to its line of weather- and insect-resistant cellular PVC mouldings. The 16-foot- long window-trim profiles include window sill, 11/4 by 43/4 inches; sill nose, 15/16 by 13/8 inches; and heavy sill nose, 13/4 by 23/8 inches. The 16-foot-long garage-door stop is 2 by 3/8 inches. The 16-foot-long beadboard cap is 11/8 inches by 15/32 inch and an accessory for VERSATEX tongue-and-groove profiles. The 18-foot-long J-channel brickmould is 11/4 by 3 inches. All mouldings match the color and gloss of other VERSATEX architectural elements.
LOOSELAY FLOORING OFFERS FOUR STONE DESIGNS Karndean
Designflooring has added four tile designs to its LooseLay resilient line. The rectangular tiles, which are inspired by concrete hues and speckled stone, range in color from beige to dark gray. They feature a backing that eliminates the need for click-locking or glue. The tiles are quiet and offer a 0.5-millimeter wear layer to withstand commercial environments.
