SATURDAY JANUARY 26 PILLOWTALK, AQUARIUS HEAVEN, JENILUV, JON DADON, DAVI A
When the promoters named this event, they either pulled two random words out of a hat, or they have such an understanding of their acts that nothing but an eight-legged creature grasping multiple bodies would suffice. Let’s assume the latter.
If any act can follow through, it’s San Francisco lounge-house trio PillowTalk, whose breezy, soulful vibes are hypnotic enough to make even the most stoic of clubbers grab a Martini, a partner and melt into the dancefloor. Joining them playing live is former reggae, hip-hop and dancehall singer turned house purveyor, Aquarius Heaven. Influenced by his time in the studio with Parisian trio dOP, Aquarius uses his raw, emotional, Caribbean-tinted vocals to bring the crowd as deep into his world as possible.

PAN-POT, NORAD DANCE BAR, DENVER
FRIDAY JANUARY 25 PAN-POT, LUNATIK
German duo Pan-Pot are returning to the US for a few select dates this month. Along the way, they’ll pass through the burgeoning Midwest hotspot Denver, and their newest, rawest techno-friendly club, Norad Dance Bar. They join the likes of Chris Liebing in helping pop Denver’s techno cherry, and their own since it’s the duo’s debut there. Considering their usual territory is dark, edgy stripped-down clubs like Watergate and Berghain in Berlin, they should feel right at home. Pan-Pot are known for techno that can delve deep into the nether reaches of minimal, at times as cold and dark as their utilitarian name suggests, but they also know how to inject a bit of fun into their sets, getting things funky and jumping at just the right times. In short, dark club plus heavy- hitting German techno always equals good time.
