As 2013 kicks off another gloomy year for the economies of Europe, real estate brokers on the Continent are hoping that the sovereign wealth funds of the Middle East will provide a much- needed cash injection. With its close geographical and political ties with the Middle East, Europe certainly proved popular with Middle Eastern investors in 2012 – especially with funds from Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, which attempt to invest surplus cash from activities such as oil exports into assets that will provide them with a stable income in the future.
