In focus An online gallery

Deutsche Bank’s collection of modern art is acknowledged as one of the finest in the world. The only problem is that you have to visit more than 900 offices around the globe to see it.

Or at least you did until recently. Now, thanks to a new range of apps, all you need is your mobile phone or tablet computer.

Art Works London is the latest addition to the series. It was launched in June and allows you to view all the pieces acquired by Deutsche Bank’s UK arm since the collection was started in 1973.

These include Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson’s 12 Harmonics, as well as works by the likes of Francis Bacon, Tracey Emin, Damian Hirst and Anish Kapoor.

Art Works London is available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The original app in the series, Art Works Frankfurt, featuring more than a thousand pieces housed in the 60 floors of Deutsche Bank Towers, is available for Apple and Android hardware, as is Art Works Hong Kong.
