$100,000 Professorship:Our 200 faculty members are innovative teachers, active scholars, research scientists, and creative artists passionate about their disciplines. Each year they publish approximately 30 books, write more than 150 articles and scientific papers, often with undergraduate coauthors, and receive major grants, the majority for work with students. Annual support provides salary for one year.


$75,000 Visiting Faculty: Visiting faculty bring fresh ideas and insights into the classroom and new dimensions to the dialogue between students and faculty. They are also essential to maintaining our full curricular offerings. Annual support provides salary for one year.


$50,000 Faculty Sabbatical: Between one-quarter and one-third of the College’s permanent faculty are on sabbatical each year pursuing important scholarly work. Annual support covers sabbatical salary (80 percent).
