New Battery Riveting Tool The new Avdel eRiv® b10 battery riveting tool frees the Avdel assembly process from the restriction of compressed air lines. for on-site or field work, or who want to eliminate compressed air lines from their workplace to improve workstation access, EHS and production efficiency. Weidmüller Receives Worldwide
Certification For Crimp Connection Weidmüller’s crimped, insulated wire-end ferrules have now been granted UL certification – in addition to existing CSA-US, DIN/VDE and VG certification. The connection as a whole has been certified – not the individual components. Consequently, UL – Underwriters Laboratories – certified the system, meaning the wire-end ferrules, together with the hand tools or automatic crimping machines used. This certification enables Weidmüller to increase the already high quality of its
customers’ products and exploit more markets in the NAFTA region (North America, Canada and Mexico). The products certified are wire-end ferrules with plastic collars in single
packages for cross-sections ranging from 0.25mm2 to 50 mm2 (AWG 26-1) – with the exception of 35 mm? (AWG 2) – together with the corresponding hand tools and automatic strippers and crimpers. UL certification not only opens opportunities in North America and Canada to
export-oriented companies, but the now certified, solderless connections with crimped wire-end ferrules also offer significant competitive and quality advantages for European and Asian markets. UL certification is valid only if the wire-end ferrules are processed with Weidmüller hand tools or automatic crimping machines contained in the list of tools.

Distribution Of Witte After 25 years as the UK representative for Kirchhoff Witte, Clive Hawkins of Clive Hawkins Agencies Ltd is retiring from the trade on the 30th September 2012. The Witte brand is produced in Hagen, Germany. A top end range of
quality screwdrivers and bits. With effect from 1st October Rollins & Sons (London) Ltd will take over
distribution of the Witte brand within the UK. Stocks will be held at the Rollins Harlow depot alongside other established brands such as Marshalltown, Estwing, Channellock and Arrow. It is expected that the appointment of Rollins will bring stability and easy
availability to another well established and respected range of tools. We would like to wish Clive and his wife Margaret best wishes for their
retirement and thank them for the work they have done over the last quarter century to build the Witte brand.
