In May 2003 ToolBUSINESS+HIRE Magazine published its 100th edition and carried an article entitled ‘Celebrating 100 Great Issues’. Well here we are nine and a half years later in October 2012 celebrating 200 editions and still going strong! The original article gave some of the highlights of those first 100 editions


beginning with number one, published in April 2003. The front cover of this featured Wera and ran the title, ‘This ToolBusiness”, The Brand New Specialist Magazine for the tool trade. We are very proud of our long running relationship with many important tool


manufacturers illustrated by the fact that Wera were also on the front cover of 199, the September 2012 edition and many more in the intervening years! Draper featured on the front covers of Edition 2, our 100th Edition and now this, our 200th edition with many more in the intervening years. Other companies that have featured on the front cover consistently over the 200 editions are Metabo, Tools of the Trade, Dronco. Hitachi, CK, DEWALT, Action Can and UK Blade The first 100 issues saw many changes including the changes of title from ‘This


ToolBusiness’ to ‘ToolBusiness’ and with the merging of Hire Trader magazine, ‘ToolBUSINESS+HIRE’, the by-line changing to ‘The Specialist Tool and Equipment Magazine’ at the same time.


The present staff is well established


with Christine Williams and Belinda May working on the magazine from its inception. The current staff are: - Anne Hall, one of the original team


from Edition 1, took over as Editor in May 2012 Christine Williams, initially Accounts


Manager and also Editorial Manager before becoming Advertising Manager from Edition 66, a post she still holds today. Belinda May, originally Circulation


Manager took on her present position of Editorial Manager from Edition 91. Linda Barker joined the company as


Circulation Manager in 1995. David Paddick began designing the


magazine in early 2001 and provides design and artwork for the current magazines and website.
