ALL HE SEES IS GOLD: 2011 World champion Jordan Burroughs lived up to his Twitter handle - alliseeisgold - by capturing an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling. He beat Iran’s Sadegh Goudarzi in the gold-medal match.
CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’: 2011 World bronze medalist Jake Varner capped a phenomenal tournament by winning an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling. Varner swept Ukraine’s Valeri Andriitsev in the gold-medal match.
CHUN PROVIDES SPARK: 2008 World champion Clarissa Chun provided a spark when she won the first Olympic wrestling medal for the U.S. at the 2012 Olympic Games. Chun battled her way to a bronze medal in London.
JUNIOR AND CADET NATIONALS: Five wrestlers - four Cadets and one Junior - captured prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crowns during the world’s biggest wrestling tournament in July at the Fargo Dome in Fargo, N.D.
GOLDEN VOICE: Veteran American announcer Ken Berger did a masterful job in educating, informing and firing up the crowds during the eight-day Olympic Games wrestling competition at the ExCeL Centre in London, England.
