TEAM USA WINS 67 MEDALS AT NACAC U-23
Team USA concluded competition in the North America-Central America and Caribbean Under-23 (NACAC U-23) Championships in Guanajuato, Mexico, July 6-7 by bringing its total medal count all the way up to a total of 67 medals, which included 31 gold medals.

TEAM USA EARNS SPLIT AT USA VS. CANADA JUNIOR RACE WALK MATCH
Team USA earned a split in the 24th edition of the USA vs. Canada Junior Race Walk Match in August in Toronto, Ontario. Using a scoring system where the top three finishers for men and women combined for a team score, Team USA grabbed the women’s title over their neighbors to the north by a score of 14-8 while Canada grabbed a close men’s competition by a score of 12-10.
Nicolette Sorensen (San Diego, Calif.) won the women's 5 kilometer race in a time of 26:00 and was followed closely behind by four-time team member Abby Dunn (Auburn, Maine) in third and Maite Moscoso (Longwood, Fla.) in fourth.

On the men’s side Michael Nemeth (Pittsburgh, Pa.) walked a season best 10 km time of 45:17 to place second overall. Scorers for Team USA behind Nemeth were Nathaniel Roberts (Salem, Ore.) and Jonathan Hallman (Liberty, S.C.) placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
Team USA combined to win the overall team title 24-20.
Race winner and defending champion Ben Thorne of Canada established a new meet record of 42:11.
