mPhase (OTCBB: XDSL) announced an official agreement to jointly pursue business opportunities with government projects involving the research of Graphene based methods for the ink jet printing of batteries and electronic circuits with a leading technology University.

French Nanobiotix S.A. entered into a strategic partnership with PharmaEngine, Inc. for the rapid development of NBTXR3, the lead product from the NanoXray pipeline of Nanobiotix. Nanobiotix is a nanomedicine company developing novel cancer nanotherapeutics, while PharmaEngine is a specialty pharma company focused on the development of inlicensed oncology drugs. The partnership aims to accelerate the global clinical development of NBTXR3 as PharmaEngine will add its Asia-based complementary clinical development strengths and will conduct further clinical studies.

Nanoco Group plc (AIM: NANO) has recently won three grants from the UK Government totalling £736,000. The grants have been awarded by the UK’s innovation agency, the Technology Strategy Board, which aims to accelerate UK economic growth by stimulating and supporting business-led innovation. All of the grants will support the further development of Nanoco’s quantum dot and nanomaterials technologies. In addition, Nanoco has received an award under the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships programme administered by the Technology Strategy Board. Under this award, Nanoco is working closely with the University of Salford on a commercially focussed nanomaterials project.

Nanogate (N7G.FSE) in Germany recorded a surge in profits in the first half of 2012. EBITDA rose by nearly 86% to EUR2.8 million (previous year: EUR1.5 million), representing an EBITDA margin of 14.8 %, compared with 10.7% in the same period last year.
