Eurostar ready for winter exodus to Alps


Eurostar is taking bookings for its popular direct ski services from St. Pancras International and Ashford International to the French Alps. The day and night services connect to Moûtiers, Aime-La-Plagne and Bourg St Maurice, with return fares starting from £149 or £229 for Standard Premier (including more spacious seating, meals and drinks) and will run from December 21 until April 13 2013. The stations offer access to resorts like Courchevel, La Plagne, Tignes, Meribel and Les Arcs. Eurostar allows ski passengers to carry an extra item of luggage in addition to the normal luggage allowance – such as a pair of skis or a snowboard – free. Eurostar’s overnight services arrive in the Alps early on a Saturday morning and depart late on a Saturday evening. www.eurostar.com
