tourismtalk Wahida Jaiet
UK Director, Tunisia National Tourist Office “Tourism in Tunisia took a
hit following the Jasmin Revolution, but British visitors are returning. "The UK market is important for Tunisia and we’re pleased to see our
tour operators, resorts and hotel partners continuing to support us. “With over 3,000 years of culture, outstanding natural landscape, some of the best thalassotherapy centres in the world and a diverse range of accommodation from high-end luxury hotels to great-value family resorts, Tunisia is the perfect holiday destination for British visitors – and it's just two- and-a-half hours away. “We are confident the new flights and hotel openings for 2013, as well as our national advertising campaign – a second wave of radio, print and online advertising activity started September 1 and will run for 10 weeks – will help to encourage visitors to return again and again.”

Ted Wake, Sales and Marketing Director Kirker Holidays “Sales to Tunisia are 25%
up on last year and prices are holding up well. We are not noticing any nervousness about booking. Discerning travellers take an informed view and
relish the opportunity to enjoy the country’s historic sites while they are quieter. We recommend a private, English-speaking guide to enhance our clients’ short-break experience.”
Gemma Carroll, Product Manager, Cosmos “Summer sales have seen a steady increase,
with prices currently on a par with other family short-haul destinations like Antalya in Turkey and Tenerife. All board bases are performing to target although all-inclusive offers the widest choice. Featuring three flights a week from Gatwick to Tunis means we can offer customers flexibility.”
Laura Sellwood, Thomas Cook, Cranleigh, Surrey "Tunisia has again become a favourite for those after
good-value half-board or all-inclusive holidays. Families in particular like the fact that it is a short flight away, has year-round sunshine and a wide choice of family-friendly accommodation from three-star budget to five-star luxury."
