Awards shortlist revealed T
he shortlist has been revealed for the European Supply Chain Awards 2012. This year the Awards have attracted more entries than
ever before, building on the record number last year. And the judges have also been impressed
by the overall quality of the entries which has also been rising year on year. The Awards are organised by Supply
Chain Standard in partnership with leading consultancy PwC. The winners of the 2012 Awards will be
announced on Tuesday 6th November, at a glittering gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane. Last year BASF joined the illustrious list
of companies that have won Europe's most prestigious supply chain award including: Telefonica, Dell, Sainsbury's, Vodafone, Primark, Coca-Cola, Marks & Spencer, Cisco Systems and GlaxoSmithKline. “It’s a great honour,” said: Arno
Bingemann, vice president planning processes at BASF, who collected the Award at The Park Lane Hilton. “I’ma representative of 800 people who
have worked very hard for three years to change the company and globally harmonise processes. Itmakes us
when the shortlist is decided. The shortlisted companies will now go through to the interview stage where they will be asked to make presentations to our judging panels who will also be asking some tough questions. The judges look for
proud that the project was so successful and to be awarded for our hard work,” he said. The Awards are unique in the depth of
analysis involved in the judging process, which in turn makes them uniquely worth winning. Companies entering the Awards are asked to provide a considerable detail in their entry – and this is used in the first stage of judging
