The PotterGroup The Potter Group can point to 24 business wins in the past year. Other changes include land development at its Ripon DC and growth of hazardous waste storage services at Droitwich. The company has led the way in rail connected freight distribution centres with sites in the NorthWest, East Anglia and the North. It has a total of 160,000 sq m of warehousing at five site. Activities include pallet delivery across sectors such as automotive, chemicals and petroleum, food and drink, and manufacturing.


Keswick Enterprises Keswick Enterprises, John Harvey’s holding group, has now grown to a £41m business. Its UK subsidiaries include: Spatial Freight, Link Logistics and Strategy Group. In Romania, it has Tibbett Logistics and Tibbett Retail Services. It has just set up a joint venture in Poland, KeswickVector SCM Polska.


Seafield Logistics Seafield Logistics, which is based onWorksop, grew significantly last year with sales up £6m to £29.8m. The business has grown both organically and through takeovers of companies such as Thompson Martin, Ken Thomas Groups and Distribution Investments.


Knights ofOld Knights of Old, based in Kettering,merged with The Mainland Group and sales are now £45m.Its main businesses areas are freight forwarding, pallet delivery, clothing and footwear, paper and printing, food and drink, retail, and publishing. last year saw contract wins in the food and publishing sectors. It is targeting growth in UK groupage, deep sea shipping and air freight. The short term target to become a £50m business. Its commercial UK Groupage target is 40 per cent growth to June 2013. Its export packing shop has a target of 20 per cent growth for the next year.


Rico Logistics Slough-based Rico focuses on spare parts logistics offering courier services in the UK, RoI, Spain and Portugal. UK sales are now £46.5m and the company has plans to roll out its spare parts model In Switzerland, France and the Benelux.


iForce Multi-channel specialist iForce focuses on fulfilment and returns processing services to retail, pure-play and manufacturers. Also refurbishment and marketing through Buyforce. UK sales are £45m.


Advanced SupplyChain Bradford-based Advanced Supply Chain has seen substantial expansion in the past year and UK sales are now £30m. The business is focused on freight forwarding,mainly in the food and drink, clothing and footwear, electronics and electrical sectors. It is developing a UK-wide 3PL network and opening two additional X-dock facilities and another fulfilment centre.


LenhamStorage Lenham Storage has opened a 45,000 sq ft warehouse extension and new build 10,000 sq ft mezzanine contract packing area. The company now has sales of £27m and future plans include: investment in facilities and resources within its on-site contract packing services.


CButt Northampton based C Butt is a domestic logistics provider offering a range of services, particularly in clothing & footwear, electronics & electrical, food & drink. Its UK sales stand at £44m.
