WSP MAKES VITAL
WSP has scooped key roles on a number of transportation projects in Sweden’s major cities.
In Gothenburg, our civil engineering team has been appointed to provide engineering services on five contracts on the Västlänken or West Link project, which includes a 9km tunnel under the centre of the city and three new stations to be delivered over the next 10 years. The project, which has
an estimated value of Kr20bn, is intended to increase capacity for commuter services, make the city more accessible and reduce the vulnerability of the rail system.
Meanwhile, WSP is also helping to deliver the expansion of the Spårväg City or City Tramway project through central Stockholm for Stockholm Public Transport. WSP is providing services including geotechnical, water and sewage, and electrical engineering
