Homes Abroad trade fair 22nd

and 23rd Testimonials September 2012 in Fredericia, Denmark

Buying Properties Abroad Interest in buying homes abroad is growing rapidly in Denmark. Danes are eager to live out their dreams, and the trade fairs in 2011 and 2012 have provided particularly good evidence of this, with increasing visitor numbers and record seminar attendances. Low property prices abroad and historically low interest rates in Denmark mean that the sum of money that Danes have at their disposal has never been greater.

Investment Properties and Projects Abroad There is also a growing interest in investing in properties and projects abroad. The recent fall in property prices along with the Danish government’s recent policy change on pensions, is now a strong contributing factor to many Danes seeking alternative investment opportunities. Investments in foreign property instead of traditional securities are an excellent alternative to an increased pension saving, or simply a financial investment for liquid holdings.

Holiday Home Rentals Abroad “Try Before You Buy”! The motivation among the Danes for renting a property abroad has further more proven to be quite evident, with more people favouring it over the familiar practice of renting a hotel room. Renting a property abroad obviously also has a big advantage for potential buyers in that, in accord with the “Try Before You Buy” principle, they will have the opportunity to assess whether the property and area is one they desire.

Welcome to the new Homes Abroad Trade Fair on the 22nd and 23rd of September!

“Zafo Law has participated in Bolig i Udlandet / Homes Abroad several times now, both in Zealand and Jutland, and we certainly intend to continue. For us, it is a unique way to come in contact with potential clients. Instead of the typical more formal approach by phone or e-mail, during an informal conversation with us the potential client can get an initial impression of us and receive information as to what we can do to assist them. Many think about contacting a lawyer abroad, sometimes perhaps one time too many before they actually contact the lawyer. At the same time, it also gives us an opportunity to keep a finger on the pulse regarding what potential buyers of real property in Spain are concerned with. And in addition, the size of the trade fair and its duration is exception- ally appropriate for us, and therefore we assess the cost of participation as definitely worthwhile considering the results.” Lars Hovmand Mikkelsen, Abogado & Cand. jur., Zafo Law

“By midday Saturday, we’d made arrangements with more serious buyers than we’d dared to hope. They were all very determined and had made up their minds to buy, and we confidently expect our participation in the fair in Fredericia in September 2011 to result in concrete deals. We actually had our doubts about taking part at all, but we definitely don’t regret that decision now.” Jesper Arffmann, AlanyaByg

“Oriental Invest takes part in the exhibitions as Homes Abroad is the only genuine national market operator in Denmark. Taking part in Homes Abroad allows us to meet existing customers and more importantly to create new contacts for our growing customer database in a relaxed exhibition environment. Of all the Homes Abroad exhibitions we’ve taken part in, we’ve never come away from an exhibition without bookings and sales.” Flemming Bo Sørensen, Oriental Invest
