The Early Summer 2012 cover (www.rapidmag. com/0048) depicting two grinning paddlers tying boats on their truck’s roof evoked a love-it-or-hate- it response from our readers. Beaconia, Manitoba’s Brian Johnston was in the first camp, unequivocally writing, “Loved the cover photo!” While Mike Mc- Kay wrote from the Ottawa Valley, “Seems like this is the one place where it would be great to highlight some of the industry’s best photographers. Rapid even did an article on getting the cover shot [“Shoot Like the Pros,” Summer/Fall 2011, www.rapidmag. com/0064] and now you go to a stock photo. There is no shortage of incredible photographers out there that are working hard to get some amazing photos.” We couldn’t agree more.
