the Canadian Canoe Museum, James Raffan and the many staff and friends who quickly refurbished Paddle Canada One to participate in the Jubilee. The vessel sat in storage for several years following its 3,300 kilo-

Like our recent Stand-up Paddleboard program, Paddle Canada’s Canoe Pro- gram Development Committee has an- ticipated the need for big canoe train- ing and responded with high quality and well thought out programs, from beginner through instructor trainer. Well done to Priscilla Haskin and her PDC team members. To see exclusive photos and videos,

This is a very positive change for PC’s national paddling training program and en- courages more participation in the sport, especially by youth. Scouts Canada is the first to sign on this season and the or- ganisation anticipates others to follow in the coming months. “Scouts Canada was the one that prompted us to find a so- lution,” stated Graham Ketcheson, Paddle Canada Executive Director. “This has been an issue for well over 15 years. The Board and I have been meeting regularly with brokers over the last year. The best option was found through our current bro- ker, The Standard Insurance in Kenora, Ontario. We applaud them for their efforts in working with us on this project.”
