he château was originally built at the end of the 19th century and through its enchanted past has been owned by the French elite and visited by the rich and famous. Amongst of which it was frequented by former President of France, François Mitterrand, who after staying was so impressed he granted the then owner permission to turn the property into a hotel so it could share its wonderful majesty with the public.
Purchased by property developers, Barrasford and Bird Worldwide as a shell in December 2010, the main château has undergone extensive renovation and refurbishment to embrace the epitome of French chic as a luxurious hotel and prime investment opportunity. Spaciously spread across a 90 hectare site the resort comprises the main château, a 16th Century smaller Gothic château, traditional French village, fi shing lakes and woodlands.
Just 18 months later, the main château is at completion stage and taking guest reservations from June onwards. The suites are rich in traditional elements
with a luxurious modern twist. The hotel head chef, David Boyer, comes straight from a Paris 3-Michelin star restaurant and his creations are a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
