recommending that to my clients”
so much choice with every meal, it was excellent.” Charlotte Hodgkinson - Thomas Cook
What to sell: s Hiking tours around the Falls and
Iguazu National Park (these aren’t strenuous but include a lot of steps)
s Helicopter fl ights over the falls s Boat trips under the falls s Birdwatching tours – in addition to the local birdlife, a nearby sanctuary is home to more than 1000 species
s Tours to Itaipu Dam
“I never would have thought to recommend a visit to a power station but the Itaipu Dam was so interesting I would defi nitely suggest it now. It is an incredible feat of engineering and as it is in a bi-national zone you cross over into Paraguay during the tour which adds to the experience.” Gail Alderson - Midlands Co-op
top tip

room report There are just two hotels actually
located within the Iguazu National Park – The Sheraton and the Hotel das Cataratas which is owned by Orient Express Hotels. Both of them have superb views and easy access to the Iguazu Falls but staying outside the park, in Iguazu Falls city, is also a convenient base, offers access to a wider range of tourism facilities and is generally less expensive. There are more than 200 hotels
in the city and the group stayed at the Recanto Park Hotel which they thought was excellent with a great pool, fabulous rooms and a good buffet-style restaurant. (

to add it into their South America itineraries. There will be zero complaints if you do!” Michael O’Brien - Travel 2
“A two-week trip combining the Iguazu Falls with Argentina, Lima and
Machu Picchu would be fantastic and clients could achieve a lot at a leisurely pace” Nicola Thackeray - Sky Media Travel
“iguazu falls is a sight you simply cannot fully
appreciate without going there for yourself. no photo or even 3d movie can prepare you for the scale and for your emotional reaction to it”
enjoyable because you are within a national park and the lush foliage is all very pretty. There are plenty of good facilities along the way too. The hotels we stayed in and the restaurants we used were all great.”
