LAN is the national carrier of Chile but also has subsidiary airlines in Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia and is a member of the Oneworld Alliance. Most recent in its development has been the merger with leading Brazilian carrier TAM. Together, the LATAM Group is amongst the world’s 10 largest airline groups and offers passengers more than 115 destinations in 23 countries, with a fl eet of over 280 aircraft.

and Airbus narrow and wide-body aircraft and will be the fi rst airline in Latin America, and one of the fi rst in the world, to incorporate the Boeing 787 Dreamliner into its fl eet later this year. It expects to add 32 of these aircraft to its fl eet in the next 10 years, representing one of the largest investments in its history at a cost of $3,500 million.

Pacifi c, North America and Europe. Flights from the UK operate via Madrid direct to Santiago in Chile, Lima in Peru, or Guayaquil and Quito in Ecuador. Onward connections are easily added to tourism hotspots including Cusco for Machu Picchu, the Galapagos Islands, Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls.

leather, central seats whose backs become a table specially designed for a laptop. There’s also more space to recline and more space between seats for maximum comfort. This class provides universal connection points so passengers can charge computers, iPods, DVD players or electronic games. Premium Business class features


a fully-lie-fl at seat, 23 inches wide by 73 inches long with 74 inches between seats. Each seat includes a high-resolution 15.4 inch screen and audio-video system. The meal service includes menus using regional South American produce.
