Iguazu Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage site which sits right on the border of Brazil and Argentina. It is one of the most popular natural tourist attractions in South America and can be accessed from both the Brazilian and Argentinean side. The agents fl ew into Iguazu Falls city

airport which is on the Brazilian side from where visitors combine visits to both sides of the falls or they can cross the border and stay in Argentina. Argentina is just 20 minutes

drive from Iguazu and as each side offers a very different perspective of the falls visitors are recommended to do both. The Brazilian side gives the best panoramic views, while the Argentinean side offers more opportunities to experience the power of the falls close up.

Why go there Iguazu Falls is one of the seven natural

wonders of the world. The falls actually consist of over 270 separate waterfalls that stretch for more than one and a half miles. Walkways and hiking trails have

been set up to allow fabulous views and great photographic opportunities wherever you go. Most of the individual waterfalls are about 200 feet high but the U-shaped waterfall shown in most brochures is The Devil’s Throat which is almost 500 feet across and over 2,000 feet in length.

“Iguazu Falls certainly lives up to,

or exceeds, expectations. I think the Brazilian side was best for the view but you really have to do the other side too so you can really feel the force of the falls at the Devil’s Throat. I would defi nitely recommend that people allow time do both and in addition they need time to enjoy the culture, food, shopping and birdwatching which all add to the experience.” Gail Alderson - Midlands Co-op

“The boat trip under the falls is completely awesome. Before I had done it for myself it seemed expensive but now I realise it is worth every penny. What an experience!” Michael O’Brien - Travel 2

“The food on this trip was absolutely fabulous. The steaks were some of the best we’d ever eaten and there was

WoW factor

The falls are amazing. It is really hard to believe you can see one waterfall in so many very different ways!
