What people are doing, seeing, believing

Internet Evangelism
Technology has an increased influence on evangelism through the Internet, according to a recent study by Global Media Outreach. More than half of the people who say they came to Christ through the Internet have subsequently shared their faith with others using similar means. More than half (51%) say they have shared their faith at least three times both through technology and in-person while 37% say they have done so at least once or twice.

Why plant churches?
In 1900 the U.S. had one SBC congregation for every 3,800 people. Throughout the 20th century, the population increased, but the number of SBC churches did not keep up with the growing population. In 2011, there was only one congregation for every 6,100 people living in the U.S. See pages 10-13 for a breakdown of state conventions.

Loving Las Vegas
Though only about 600,000 people reside in Las Vegas, the city sees millions of tourists come in and out each year. In 2009, the city hosted 19,000 conventions and saw nearly 36 million visitors. Reaching such a transient city can be difficult for church planters and missionaries. Boston’s religious landscape

The majority of Massachusetts’ residents consider Catholicism to be their primary religion. Some 43% say they are Catholic while a smaller 26% consider themselves to be practicing Protestants. Around 10% practice other religions, including Islam, Judaism, Mormonism and Buddhism. However, 17% claim no religious affiliation whatsoever. Interested in helping to change the religious landscape of Massachusetts? Consider partnering with Send North America to aid in church planting efforts to reach the people of New England.
