The season has once again changed here in Missouri. Summer is upon us and so are barbecues, picnics, family reunions, graduations, Father’s Day and July 4th. Whatever you celebrate, be it small or large, simple or elaborate, we hope to be included. Burgers’ Smokehouse is about tradition. Our motto: Simple Traditions Since 1952. Since ribs are a summertime favorite I would like to point out our two different styles:
Dry Rubbed (p.25): Formerly referred to as Missouri BBQ. These “dry” ribs are hand rubbed with our unique blend of salts and spices. Slow “resting” allows the spices to permeate the meat. Our cooking and natural smoking process is the finishing touch. Ribs are ready to eat “as is” without adding sauce. Many barbecue purists insist on dry rubbed ribs, believing sauces can hide the natural flavor.
Signature Sauced (wet) (p.27): It seems the only thing many folks agree on is to disagree...dry or wet? Signature Sauced is the exact same rib as our “Dry Rubbed” ribs and are prepared exactly the same way. The final touch is our very own “Signature Sauce.” This KC style sauce is sweet and mild and perfectly compliments the natural flavor.
We offer St. Louis Style and Baby Back ribs. Either is available “Dry Rubbed” or “Signature Sauced.” For more about our ribs look us up on You Tube. We just did a new video full of information and heating tips.
