Just like its predecessors, the latest SL showcases an array of pioneering technologies.


These include the innovative FrontBass® audio system. Housing the bass speakers within the footwells, it uses the cavities behind them and the footwells themselves as resonating sound chambers. The result is clearer bass reproduction and unprecedented audio quality - even with the top down.

Also making its debut is the new Magic Vision Control, an intelligent windscreen washer system. Using a system of ducts, it applies water directly to the windscreen just in front of the wiper blade lip in the direction the blade is moving. This enables more effi cient cleaning without any water splash to disrupt the driver’s visibility.


Other highlights include the panoramic vario-roof with Magic Sky Control; this technology enables you to switch from clear to tinted glass at the touch of a button. Further stand-out innovations include the Keyless-Go Comfort Package, which allows hands free access to the boot compartment simply by placing your foot under the rear of the vehicle.
