Elimination of overheads enables business restructure Active Transfer enabled an international manufacturer of fibres to concentrate on a business restructuring plan free from obligations to a stranded, non-performing asset in the USA where they had no resource to manage ongoing liabilities. WSP took over the management of the environmental liabilities at this sprawling facility. Work on an underground storage tank facility, waste water treatment lagoons and a landfill was achieved for less than the reserves allowing our client to eliminate all USA overhead associated with environmental management.


LEED-certified building rises from contaminated site For a heavily contaminated urban site in New York State we developed a solution aligning the interests of the site owner, buyer, developer, municipal government and state regulatory authority, to benefit the community and enable a LEED-certified building to be constructed. In less than 10 months, WSP had remediated the site removing over 140,000 tons of soil and treating 4m gallons of water.
