Active Transfer is a game-changer. For an agreed, one-off fee WSP will assume responsibility for managing known and unknown obligations associated with a site. This allows a seller to responsibly transfer and extinguish environmental liabilities and transact a property on the basis of its value. As a consequence, the buyer has certainty over environmental liabilities and will not need to reserve for unknown issues.
