Jim Griffin, OneHouse


Jim Griffin is Managing Director of OneHouse LLC, dedicated to the future of music and entertainment delivery. In addition to serving as an agent for constructive change in media and technology, he is a columnist for magazines. Jim started and runs Choruss LLC, incubated by Warner Music Group. He is also the co-founder of the Pho Group and he is engaged with wireless work including at Nokia’s Research Centre in Helsinki, Finland.

Donald Katz is founder and CEO of Audible, Inc. Katz was previously a journalist and author, writing five books and serving as contributing editor at Rolling Stone and other publications. Audible is the leading provider of digital spoken audio information and entertainment on the internet. It offers over 100,000 downloadable audiobooks, audio editions of periodicals, and other programs. The company commercialized the first portable digital audio player in 1997. Audible is the exclusive supplier of audiobooks to the iTunes Music store worldwide.


Siobhan O’Leary


Siobhan O’Leary is an independent translator, literary agent and journalist based in Berlin. Before relocating, she worked in the Foreign Rights department of the Crown Publishing Group in New York. Prior to that, she worked at the boutique publishing consulting firm Market Partners International. She contributes regular reports on the German book trade to Publishing Perspectives and has helped coordinate the Tools of Change Frankfurt conference since 2009.


Eric Huang, Penguin @dinoboy89


Eric is a pop culture fan who is passionate about storytelling. His first ‘real job’ was at Disney Publishing LA. In 2001 he became Managing Editor at Penguin Australia. He moved to Aussie company Funtastic’s book division as Publisher in 2004. Now Publishing Director of Penguin Media & Entertainment in London, he is always looking out for creative partnerships to tell stories on traditional and new media platforms.


Sara Lloyd, Macmillan


Sara Lloyd is Digital Director for Pan Macmillan. She is responsible for developing the company’s digital strategy. She manages Pan’s digital publishing programme, including ebooks and audio, and leads its online strategy including development of Pan’s Web platform and infrastructure. Formerly a journalist and marketeer, she has played a key role in transforming many publishing businesses from print to digital.


Mark Oliver, Oliver & Ohlbaum Associates Ltc @OliverOhlbaum


Mark Oliver is founder and chief executive of O&O, a boutique media strategy and advisory company. O&O advises over 200 different companies in the UK and European television, radio, publishing, film, music, online and sports markets. Mark was the BBC’s first head of strategy from 1989 to 1995. Mark has been adviser to the Number 10 Policy Unit and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. He began his career working as an adviser on regulation, privatization, strategy and finance at NERA Inc and then Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. He is the author of the recent Policy Exchange report “Changing the Channel – A case for radical reform of Public Service Broadcasting in the UK”.
