Victoria Barnsley, HarperCollins
Victoria Barnsley has been CEO and Publisher of HarperCollins since 2000. During her time at the helm, Barnsley has filed record profits and HarperCollins has won the much coveted Publisher of the Year award as well as numerous literary prizes. She is a Trustee of the Tate Foundation and a Director of Tate Enterprises Ltd. She was made a Fellow of University College, London in 2005.
Paul Brindley, The Appside @musicallypaul
Paul is the co-founder of The Appside and Music Ally. The Appside is a new business intelligence service making sense of the apps space for brands, agencies and entertainment companies. Paul played bass guitar with indie band The Sundays from 1988 to 1997. He has written several reports about the UK music industry and the impact of technology thereupon.
Rosie Goldsmith
Rosie Goldsmith has 20 years’ experience on the BBC staff as a Senior Journalist in Current Affairs and Arts, both presenting and producing. She now works freelance as a broadcaster – also for the BBC – a multi-media journalist for several organisations and also as a PR & Media Consultant & Media Trainer. She chairs and curates events and promotes foreign literature and translation in the UK. She also runs the independent European Literature Network.
Matteo Berlucchi, Anobii @matteoberlucchi Matteo Berlucchi is CEO of Anobii, the new discovery platform for book lovers. His digital career spans 15 years, during which he has conceived, built and launched several successful companies and services both online and on mobile. Most recently, Matteo was CEO and founder of Livestation, the leading service for live TV news online and the first company in the world to stream live TV on iPhones. Livestation is also the winner of the Guardian Digital Innovation Award 2008. Prior to this, Matteo was CEO and co-founder of Skinkers, a software company, which defined the market for desktop widgets and the winner of several international innovation awards in the digital space. Matteo started his career by launching the first online property system in Europe in 1995.
Antonio Fraguas Garrido, El Pais
As a staff writer at Spain’s leading newspaper El Pais, Antonio focuses part of his work on piracy and copyright relating issues. He reports on the developments of the convulsed publishing industry in Spain. He is a visiting professor to the Master in Cultural Management at the University Carlos III of Madrid. He also teaches Digital Journalism at EL PAIS School of Journalism.
Jeff Gomez, Starlight Runner Entertainment @Jeff_Gomez
Jeff is the world’s leading producer of transmedia entertainment properties and an expert at planning and producing franchises for cross-platform implementation. Jeff has worked on blockbusters such as Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, Microsoft’s Halo and Avatar. He sits on the boards of the Producers Guild of America East and the PGA New Media Council.
