ON THE FLOOR SW-More More colossal names bagged for SW4
SW4 FESTIVAL, LONDON, UK
LAST YEAR, Underworld and Pendulum were the fi rst-ever live acts to headline the festival, opening a new chapter in the event’s ongoing campaign, now in its eighth instalment. This time around, a live set of epic proportions will round off a Saturday of sunny raving, when dubstep/d&b behemoths Chase & Status take to the stage to bring the nose-wobbling bass and heart-palpitating beats. Following that, the people behind the event, Lock N Load, have stepped up to the mark to secure a London festival exclusive from the king of bass-propelled noise, the one-and-only (drum roll please...) Skrilleeeeeeeeex(!), who will no doubt keep out the faint-hearted on Sunday.
Finishing up at 10pm both nights, the rave- hardy SW4 faithful will lap up an extra hour
of mad-cap mentalism this year, courtesy of DJ sets from Carl Cox (& friends) on the main stage, Paul van Dyk’s Evolution Arena and a stage manned by Erick Morillo, while John Digweed, appearing for his seventh consecutive year, hosts his very own Bedrock arena on Saturday.
On Sunday, UKF Bass Culture is in charge of the main stage topped by you-know- who. Eric Prydz is locked in to headline the Together arena, while Radio One legend Pete Tong debuts his ‘All Gone Pete Tong’ concept and Andy C brings his live show, Alive, to the fourth arena.
