What are the biggest challenges you currently face? The uncertain retail environment has put pressure on advertisers’ budgets but we’ve seen a direct correlation between those advertisers who spend more on TV advertising and those who have greater success at retail.

Every day we chant ‘Early to bed, early to rise, make lots of money and advertise!’

Andrew Mallandaine, Turner Media

What has been your company's key achievements over the past 12 months? Showing double digit growth every year since the economic downturn of 2009 reassures me that we offer great value to our clients and that activity with us really does work.

What is your five-year business plan?

In a nutshell, we aim to continually grow the audience size and reach of our channels and websites, which will enable us to accommodate more advertisers whilst maintaining the overall price point and value for money we offer.

Tell us a secret about Turner that few people know. Every day we chant the wise words of our founder and spiritual leader Ted Turner – ‘Early to bed, early to rise, make lots of money and advertise!’

Anything else you’d like to let us know?

In my 15 years at Turner, I can count on one hand the number of advertisers who’ve tried us and not come back for more. If you’re targeting kids and families, give us a call and we’ll come up with some great ideas that are certain to improve your sales.
