وﺳﺘﻨﺎﻗﺶ اﻟﻨﺪوة أﻳﻀﺎً ﻓﻮاﺋﺪ ﺳﻴﺎﺣﺔ األﻋﻤﺎل، ﻓﻬﻲ ﻣﺜﻼً ﺗﺤﻘﻖ ﻫﻮاﻣﺶ رﺑﺤﻴﺔ أﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺤﻘﻘﻬﺎ ﺳﻴﺎﺣﺔ األﻓﺮاد، ﻛﻤﺎ أنّ ﺗﻨﻈﻴﻢ اﻟﻔﻌﺎﻟﻴﺎت اﻟﻤﺒﺘﻜﺮة ﻳﻤﻜّ ﻨﻨﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺗﺴﻮﻳﻖ اﻟﻤﻨﻄﻘﺔ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ - ﺑﻤﺎ ﻟﻬﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺗﻘﺎﻟﻴﺪ وﻣﻮروﺛﺎت أﺻﻴﻠﺔ - ﻛﻮﺟﻬﺔ ﻣﺜﺎﻟﻴﺔ ﻟألﻋﻤﺎل ﻓﻲ اﻟﻘﺮن اﻟﺤﺎدي واﻟﻌﺸﺮﻳﻦ.


وﺗﻜﻤﻦ اﻟﻔﺮﺻﺔ األﻛﺒﺮ ﻟﺘﺮوﻳﺞ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻨﻮع ﻣﻦ اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺣﺔ ﻓﻲ رﺑﻄﻪ ﺑﺎﻟﺘﻘﺎﻟﻴﺪ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴّﺔ واﻟﻤﻮروث اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻲّ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻲّ . وﻟﺘﻮﺿﻴﺢ ﻫﺬه اﻟﻔﻜﺮة، ﻓﺈنّ ﻣﻘﺪّم اﻟﻨﺪوة ﺳﻴﺪﻋﻮ


اﻟﻤﺸﺎرﻛﻴﻦ ﻟﻤﺮاﻓﻘﺘﻪ ﻓﻲ رﺣﻠﺔ ﻋﺒﺮ اﻟﺰﻣﻦ، ﻳﻨﺘﻘﻠﻮن ﺧﻼﻟﻬﺎ إﻟﻰ ﻣﺎ ﻗﺒﻞ ﻋﺪّ ة ﻗﺮون ﺧﻠﺖ. ﻓﻘﺒﻞ ﻣﺌﺎت اﻟﺴﻨﻴﻦ، ﻛﺎن أﺑﺮز اﻟﺮﺣّ ﺎﻟﺔ واﻟﻤﺴﺎﻓﺮﻳﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺘﺠّ ﺎر واﻟﻌﻠﻤﺎء اﻟﻌﺮب، وﻫﺆﻻء ﻟﻢ ﺗﻜﻦ أﺳﻔﺎرﻫﻢ ورﺣﻼﺗﻬﻢ ﺑﻐﺮض اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺣﺔ واﻟﺘﺮﻓﻴﻪ، ﺑﻞ ﻛﺎﻧﻮا ﻳﺮﺗﺤﻠﻮن ﻟﺘﺤﻘﻴﻖ أﻫﺪاف أﺧﺮى. ﻓﺎﻟﻨﺎس ﻟﻢ ﻳﻠﺘﻘﻮا ﺑﻐﺮض ﺗﻤﻀﻴﺔ اﻟﻮﻗﺖ ﻓﺤﺴﺐ، واﻧﻤﺎ


ﺑﻬﺪف إﺑﺮام اﻟﺼﻔﻘﺎت وﺗﺒﺎدل األﻓﻜﺎر، وﻛﺎن اﻟﻌﺮب رواداً ﻓﻰ ﻣﺠﺎل اﻻﺳﺘﻜﺸﺎف. وﺑﺎﻟﻌﻮدة إﻟﻰ ﻋﺼﺮﻧﺎ اﻟﺤﺎﺿﺮ، ورﻏﻢ أنّ وﺳﺎﺋﻞ اﻟﻨﻘﻞ ﻗﺪ ﺗﻐﻴّﺮت ﻋﻤّ ﺎ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻘﺮن اﻟﺨﺎﻣﺲ ﻋﺸﺮ، ورﻏﻢ أنّ اﻟﻤﺪّ ة اﻟﺰﻣﻨﻴّﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺴﺘﻐﺮﻗﻬﺎ اﻟﺴﻔﺮ ﻗﺪ أﺻﺒﺤﺖ أﻗﺼﺮ ﺑﻜﺜﻴﺮ، إﻻ أنّ اﻟﻔﻜﺮة ﻟﻢ ﺗﺘﻐﻴﺮ رﻏﻢ اﺧﺘﻼف اﻟﻤﺴﻤﻴﺎت. ﻓﺎﻟﺒﻌﺾ ﻳﺴﻤﻴﻬﺎ اﻟﻴﻮم »ﺳﻴﺎﺣﺔ األﻋﻤﺎل«، واﻟﺒﻌﺾ اآلﺧﺮ ﻳﺴﻤﻴﻬﺎ »ﺳﻴﺎﺣﺔ اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﺎت واﻟﺤﻮاﻓﺰ واﻟﻤﺆﺗﻤﺮات واﻟﻤﻌﺎرض«. وﻟﻜﻦ ﻣﻬﻤﺎ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ اﻟﺘﺴﻤﻴﺔ، ﻻ ﺟﺪال ﺑﺄنّ ﻣﺜﻞ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻨﻮع ﻣﻦ اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺣﺔ ﻗﺪ ﻋﺮﻓﻪ اﻟﻌﺮب وﻣﺎرﺳﻮه وﺑﺮﻋﻮا ﻓﻴﻪ ﻗﺒﻞ ﻣﺌﺎت اﻟﺴﻨﻴﻦ، أي أﻧّﻪ ﻟﻴﺲ ﻏﺮﻳﺒﺎً وﻻ ﺟﺪﻳﺪاً ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻤﻨﻄﻘﺔ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴّﺔ.
