Two Volvo D6 main engines provide a total power

output of approximately 485kW, granting the boat a top speed of 34knots. Handrails, modified ratlines and fenders ring the whole length of the boat’s deck line, in order to facilitate the transfer of personnel from boat to vessel, and the bridge has been raised on blocks to lower noise and vibrations.

Launch and delivery Drydocks World delivers

AHTS duo Dubai-based Drydocks World has delivered a pair of sister anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, from its Singapore yard, to offshore operator Greatship Group, as part of the builder’s attempts to consolidate a stronger foothold in the increasingly lucrative offshore sector. Te duo, Greatship Vida and Greatship Vimla, are 78.2m loa, 18.2m wide and feature depths of 8m. Both have been dual-classed by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) and ABS.

Patrol boats Camarc-designed patrol

boat rollout begins Raidco Marine has delivered the first four of an 11-strong series of patrol boats to the Gendarmerie Nationale, France, having contracted UK naval architect Camarc and French yard Ufast to design and build the sister ships respectively. From the drawing board, the patrol boats were

developed using virtual symmetric multiprocessing architecture (VSMP) modelling, with the particular aim of making them virtually unsinkable. Tis is achieved, Camarc says, care of a hard chine deep V-shaped hull. In sea trials, the vessels in the UFC 11.00 Alu class have managed to achieve a top speed of 34knots, 1knot more than the ceiling specified by the French police authorities. Te vessels have a fuel capacity of 800litres. Each vessel’s dimensions include an overall length of 11.6m, a beam of 3.55m and a draught of 0.7m, with light displacement measured at 8tonnes. Two Yanmar 6 LPA STP engines were installed, each generating 232kW at 3800rpm, and powering twin UltraJet 305 waterjets, supplied by Ultra Dynamics, via ZF63 reduction boxes. Te Ultra Dynamics hydro-mechanical control system is intended to grant the vessel series greater manoeuvrability in steering and reversing. Te UFC 11.00 Alu model also provides 360degs field

of vision from the wheelhouse and features a miniature galley, work station, toilet and dining area, with a maximum accommodation capacity of six persons. Camarc was also responsible for the design of

Each of the vessels is equipped with a Wärtsilä

9L32 main engine, complemented by twin auxiliary Caterpillar engines and two shaft generators, resulting in a total output of 9000kW, resulting in a bollard pull of 150tonnes. Fukushima provided the vessels’

Te vessel, which features a double chine V-shaped hull arrangement, relies on a propulsive set-up incorporating twin Cummins QSM11 engines, generating 449kW at 2300rpm apiece, and twin UltraJet 377 waterjets. prepared to sit down with its creditors to discuss a proposal for restructuring of its debt obligations under its US$2.2 billion syndicated facility.
