Trina Solar opens UK office to cater to growing market


TRINA SOLAR has opened a UK office in Derby to support the growing industry and to develop a foothold in what the company sees as a key market for future growth. The company has stated the growing UK market remains a key part of their strategy and this move sends the message that the company sends the UK potential regardless of any current political confusion.


Trina Solar is based in Germany and is a long time player in the global market. Industry dynamics are changing with the traditional markets of the last few years slowing down and new market growth precipitating company needs to develop new markets and strategies for their global operations. Trina has been proactive in developing their product offerings in a vertical manner as well as expanding into new regions by developing local infrastructure.


Richard Rushin has been appointed Sales Manager responsible for the UK region and will be based in the new Derby office overseeing the company’s growth across the region.


Commenting on his appointment Rushin said, ‘I am delighted to be heading up UK sales for Trina Solar, their commitment to quality and value was evident to me from my earliest meetings with them. As a career sales director I know your level of success is ultimately decided by the products and support you offer to clients.’

Rushin has 25 years+ in senior sales and


business development positions and has spent the last 3 years as Business Development Director at Mark Group. Richard was responsible for all Public Sector sales activity across the UK mainland and specializes in Renewable Technologies.
