SANDY RIVER RESERVOIR, VIRGINIA DOUG GIBSON

Doug was fishing the YakAttack Kayak Fishing Benefit tourney for the Central Virginia Heroes on the Water chapter when he landed his new personal best 24-inch largemouth. The fish ate a Strike King Shim E Stick.

FREDERICK RAMBO INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, FLORIDA

Orlando Kayak Fishing Club president Frederick finessed this glossy red out of the weeds. He wrote that he was lucky to land it. His six-pound line picked up so much grass it looked like a hula skirt.

LAKE ST. CLAIR, MICHIGAN CRAIG HEFNER

Craig caught this nice smallmouth while fishing with Lucian Gizel of Great Lakes Kayak Fishing. “First time using a sit-on- top kayak. I will never fish out of my sit-inside again,” he said.

CHRIS HOLMES EAST CAPE, BAJA

Chris battled this impressive plus-sized rooster for 30 minutes, not far off the beach at Rancho Leonero Resort. “It must be the hat. It’s my favorite,” the Hobie pro said.
