vi Strengthening access to information, public participation in decision making and access to justice in environmental matters

To enhance engagement and develop capacity at national and international levels, the substantive involvement of civil society, the private sector and other relevant actors in policy-making processes is critical. The international community and government at all levels could improve access to information, enhance engagement of and develop capacity for stakeholders to participate in decision making and improve access to justice in environmental matters in order to meet environmental and development challenges.
