Switzerland’s Purple Music has his hands on the new single from the equally purple king of funky pop, Prince, and we are giving away fi ve picture discs of the release.


The original edit of ‘Dance 4 Me’ displays the unmistakable, soulful, funky style of Prince we all know and love, while the snazzy disc also carries fi ve house remixes by Jamie Lewis, and LA producers David Alexander and Brian Matrix. The result is pure class from a luminary legend responsible for some of the most priceless gems in pop music (‘Erotic City’, ‘When Doves Cry’, I Would Die For You’) who is still churning out quality today.

TIGA’S Turbo label has long been ahead of the pack – just check the fact that they released a Kenny Glasgow (one half of Art Department) DJ mix a decade ago and you’ll understand what we mean. Having heard their release schedule for the year ahead the quality hasn’t dulled with everything from the tough techno of Gesaffelstein to the electronic pop of Raid Over Moscow – the EP of which includes a Footprintz cover – dropping by March. First up is Sei A’s ‘Flux’ EP out 23rd January. On remix duties comes recent DJ Mag cover star Martyn, who delivers a rather tasty 8-bit arcade house re-rub, which you can listen to online.
