Noisepad is a new easy to use drum machine app developed by MediaGROE and fronted by DJ Chuckie. As well as being packed with some tasty pre-loaded sounds and vocals, you are also able to load up your own samples using iTunes. These can be neatly organised into multiple sets. New batches of samples from ‘A-list’ producers can be obtained as in app purchases. You can manipulate the sounds with 6 effects; Pitch, Delay, Phase, Cut-off, Reverb and Crush and these effects can be set to a tap tempo. The strength comes with its


simplicity, and the speed with which you can navigate the effects make it a genuine option as a trigger device for your live set up. On the downside there is no MIDI support.
