Happy birthday to Wiley, grime pioneer and British institution (not to mention prolifi c Tweeter) to eclipse even Stephen Fry. Releasing his new album ‘Evolve Or Be Extinct’ on the special day, 19th January, it’s another idiosyncrasy in a career full of moments ranging from the intentionally hilarious to the downright WTF, that makr him out as one of dance music’s most fascinating and commented


upon characters. Just sixth months after his last long-player, this latest offering (from which single ‘Boom Blast’, above, is taken) fi nds him in fi ne fettle with a mood of, dare we say, maturity and wisdom peppering his typically sharp turns of phrase.
