Breanna Atkinson (Outside Hitter, Ashburn, Va.) Atkinson led The Madeira School (McLean, Va.) to a 29-2 record and Virginia Independent Schools Ath- letic Association Division I state title as a senior. She contributed an eye-opening .520 hitting effi ciency with 458 kills, 257 digs and 86 aces. Atkinson was named to the 2011 AVCA High School All-America First-Team. She was a member of the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Youth National Training Team. Atkinson played for Virginia Elite of the Chesapeake Region last year.


Matt Clayton (Jupiter, Fla.)

silver bracket held in Hermosa Beach, Calif. (July 15-17) after taking part in the USAV Beach Youth HP Camp. Clayton took fi rst in seven of eight events held in Florida, along with being the 2011 Dig The Beach/USAV Series points champion and gold medalist in the Dig the Beach/National Invitational Beach Championship held July 31.


Martenne Bettendorf (Outside Hitter, Happy Valley, Ore.) Bettendorf led Central Catholic High School to a 33-0 record as a senior and its third straight Oregon Class 6A state title. She was named Class 6A MVP in 2011 after chalking up 511 kills, 149


digs and 57 blocks. Bettendorf, a 2011 U.S. Girls’ Youth National Training Team selection, concluded her career with a school-record 1,839 kills and inclusion on the AVCA High School All- America First Team. She is a member of Oregon NW Juniors in the Columbia Empire Region.

Jordan Burgess (Outside Hitter, Tampa, Fla.) Burgess, a member of the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team that fi nished ninth at the FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship, led Tampa’s Berkeley Prep to a 30-2 record and third consecutive state


championship. She totaled 553 kills, 366 digs and 48 aces while recording an impressive .457 attack effi ciency. Burgess, who was honored with her second consecutive Gatorade State Volleyball Player of the Year award, plays for Tampa Bay Juniors in the Florida Region.


Christian Blough (Setter, Ontario, N.Y.)


Blough helped McQuaid High School to their second consecutive New York boys’ vol- leyball state championship in November. He was named to the state all-tourna- ment team and All Greater Roches- ter Area Team in his junior year. Blough, a member of Pace

Team member and recently selected for the USA Volleyball High Performance Boys’ Na- tional Holiday Camp this past December.


Nicole Dalton Madison Bugg


(Setter/Opposite, Raleigh, N.C.) Bugg led Raleigh’s Cardinal Gibbons to a third straight North Carolina Class 3A state title and was named the state tournament most valuable player for the third year in a row. As a senior, she recorded 271 kills with a .445 hitting effi ciency to go with 182 digs and 31 aces. The


two-time Gatorade State Volleyball Player of the Year was selected to the 2011 AVCA High School All-America First-Team. Bugg competed for Triangle VBC this past sum- mer in the Carolina Region.


(Setter/Opposite, Parker, Colo.) Dalton led Chapar- ral High School to a second consecutive Colorado Class 5A state title with a 3-1 record in 2011. She charted 492 kills with a .454 hitting effi ciency, 406 assists, 267 digs, 62 blocks and 54 aces during her senior sea- son. The two-time Ga- torade State Volleyball Player of the Year was a member of the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team that placed ninth at the FIVB Girls’ Youth World Champion- ship. Dalton competes for Front Range VBC in the Rocky Mountain Region.


Molly McCage (Middle Blocker, Spring, Texas)


McCage was selected AVCA High School All-America First-Team to conclude her senior season at Klein Collins High School. She averaged 3.3 kills per set while adding 67 blocks. Earlier this year McCage served as captain of the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team that placed ninth at the 2011 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship.
