Columbia (Mo.) 25-20, 25-21, 25-16 Highlights: Texas at Brownsville’s Danica Markovic earned the tournament’s most outstanding player with 69 kills in the tourna- ment, including 18 in the championship match. The national title was the fi rst in school history for Texas at Brownsville, but its head coach Todd Lowery had claimed to previous titles while at National American (S.D.). Fresno Pacifi c had won two consecutive NAIA titles before losing in the round of 16 in the championship tournanament to Biola.
