Delta Academic Objectives: Writing Skills has been written to prepare students for academic writing, placing emphasis not only on developing strong academic writing skills but also on continued language development through five main areas: Structure and organisation, Critical thinking, Using the text, Language focus and Evaluating writing.

• is supported by online resources consisting of a bank of longer texts and accompanying activities to help develop students’ reading into writing skills


• topics are both academic and common to everyday life, thus accessible to all students • contains a section of exercises to practice vocabulary in the Academic Word List


Delta Academic Objectives: Listening Skills has been written to develop essential comprehension skills in the context of real-life talks, presentations, and conversations. The length of the listening passages develop students’ ability to follow such talks, presentations, and conversations for the longer periods of time common in academic and work environments.

• helps students develop the listening and note-taking skills described at B2 and C1 levels • listening passages give students practice with extended listening • themes relate to a wide range of common academic subject fields
