Show, hirers can find ways of improving the efficiency of their own operations, such as transport. The timing of the exhibition is perfect for us to launch the latest Ford Transit vehicles with new Euro 5 level engines, which are designed to give reduced CO2 emissions and greater fuel economy. This will enable hirers to lower their carbon footprint and save money while making equipment deliveries. Each year we attract a great cross-section of hirers to our stand, from single depot independents to the nationals, and we’re really looking forward to meeting more of them at the 2012 Show, and discussing how our vehicles can help reduce their running costs.

As well as looking for new kit for their fleets at the I’ll be attending the Show for the first time, having been appointed to my


present position earlier this year, and I’m really looking forward to meeting hirers and getting an insight into the issues affecting them. We want to build strong partnerships with hirers, understanding their needs and showing the solutions we can offer them and their customers. We will preview several new products that will be released during 2012, including a new range of optical levels and total stations that can help hirers target additional markets. We will also be promoting tools and attachments that address Health & Safety issues, including HAV and dust.

I am really looking forward to the Executive Hire Show. It is an excellent forum for us to meet our customers and Utility Dealers, to discuss their/our plans for the year.
