TE Connectivity Launches New Website Featuring Data Center Agility - The Key to Successful Data Center Design
OCS On TV ‘Inside Gatwick’
TE Connectivity has launched a new website,
datacenteragility.com, to
help data center managers get a better understanding of how TE can help build agility into their data centers. According to the 2011 Gartner Scenario for Data Center Providers,
"Flexibility and speed are key requirements from the new data center designs." Put these two factors together and it is clear that data centers require products and solutions that build agility into their design and operation: both in terms of meeting business needs for new services and to flex capacity. It is this same need for agility that is also driving the growth of cloud-based data centers. A key source of data center infrastructure information,
datacenteragility.com provides visitors with multi-media content detailing the key products in TE's data center portfolio and extracts from the TE Enterprise Networks knowledge library relating to data center infrastructure issues. The site also has links to other TE Enterprise Networks sites featuring
AMP NETCONNECT and KRONE products along with the latest data center news from around the globe to help data center managers keep up to date with the latest events in the data center infrastructure market. Users wishing to find out how to build agility into their data centers should visit

The OCS teams responsible for providing aircraft cleaning, toilet services and airport terminal night cleaning for British Airways at Gatwick Airport recently became stars of the small screen in the new Sky 1 documentary series ‘Inside Gatwick’. Independent production company Silver River TV, makers of award- winning, factual documentaries, comedies and dramas, filmed the OCS cleaning teams as part of their inside-all-areas eight-part documentary series commissioned for Sky 1 which aired in the autumn. The cleaning staff appeared in Episode 8 which, with viewing figures of around half a million per programme, gave excellent prime time television exposure to the quality customer service that OCS and its clients, British Airways and Gatwick Airport, aim to deliver. The OCS transport team has provided aircraft cleaning services to British Airways at Gatwick for over 20 years. Our Gatwick team’s hard work and enthusiasm for this project paid
off when this week’s final programme in the series was aired. “It was a great experience,” commented Trevor Horn, OCS operations manager at Gatwick. “The programme featured a day in the life of a BA aeroplane at Gatwick with around 10 minutes’ footage which showed our aircraft toilet servicing and cleaning services, as well as the night terminal cleaning operation. Our vehicles were clearly visible and our staff looked really professional and smart.” The programme also made the viewing list of OCS’s Managing

Director Martin Gammon, who congratulated the staff on their involvement. He commented: “OCS has over 50 years’ experience of working in partnership with airports and airlines. We are trusted by our industry clients to provide a range of bespoke services, achieving improved standards and delivering value. This would not be possible without our highly trained, dedicated and professional staff and it was fantastic to see them achieve national recognition on television.” For further information visit
